Internet Slams Woman for Plans to Try Swinging With Cheating Ex and Husband

A woman has been criticized online for considering swinging with her cheating ex and her husband.

In a viral post shared on the U.K.-based discussion website Mumsnet, which can be seen here, user namechangeforsexchat explained she was considering having sex with her former partner.

But the Mumsnet poster noted that not only were the circumstances unusual—but that her ex was married with two children, and that his partner did not know of the illicit proposal.

According to a survey by Health Testing Centers, 22.1 percent of 441 respondents said they had cheated on their partner, but that they had not admitted it.

Another 24 percent said they had cheated, but that they had later admitted to it. Meanwhile, 53.9 percent said they had never been unfaithful.

"Being honest about infidelity is, no doubt, a moral high ground, but that doesn't mean it's free of consequences," according to Health Testing Centers. "Our survey data suggest that more than half of relationships – 54.5% – broke up immediately after one partner admitted to cheating. Meanwhile, 30% of these relationships attempted to stay intact but resulted in a breakup later on."

The Mumsnet user explained: "I am married and DH (dear husband and I are considering swinging with an ex of mine. No issues with the fact that he's an ex - it was short-lived - great sex but not relationship material.

"I know he's into swinging and engaged in multiple situations where he has met people for casual sex/ swinging. Issue is, [that] he's married with two kids and his wife doesn't know.

"Would this put you off meeting him? Or would you think, he's doing this anyway? It's up to him?"

Unsurprisingly the post, which was shared on Tuesday, has generated a lot of attention as some 175 people commented on it so far.

Most of those who did leave a comment was critical of the arrangement, questioned the poster's judgment, and slammed the ex's seemingly callous behavior toward his family.

One Mumsnet user said: "Why call it swinging? It would be an affair. If you're happy s****ing a married man behind his wife's back then go for it I guess."

Another posted: "He's a scummy man. Have sex with him if you want. It's your life. It's also those children's lives. If you're fine with it…off you go.

"If your husband had sex with someone else one time that you didn't know about, he wouldn't be cheating on you?"

A user remarked: "Do you really need anyone else to tell you it's wrong to sleep with a married person behind their spouse's back?

"The fact you're even asking the question in the first place means you know it's wrong."
